WTF CNN's British Accented "Expert" Richard Quest???

i'm speaking as someone who has never seen him nor heard of him until now.

But I wonder, what does his arrest have to do with his qualifications regarding stories about airplanes?

Lots of that sort of sentiment has come to the fore on DU recently. 'Look, he does not have missionary position wife sex, he must be without human value'.

And apparently Quest deserves extra "ick" points for having a British accent - the fact that he is British notwithstanding.

The OP says more about the poster than the subject of the post.

It's partially the LGBTQ movements fault for focusing on and idealizing marriage, while ignoring the persecution of those who cruise or are otherwise not "mainstream".

This guy is a right fit to the culture where Roger Ailes is said to have offered hundreds extra each month to one comely staffer in exchange for sex.

I happened to be awake in the wee small hours so turned on CNN just before tottering off to bed. I was only going to peep at the world for a moment, but that particular moment was when the stock exchanges around the world tanked. My jaw dropped. Nikkei. Hong Kong. The rolling disaster report as the dawn came to other parts of the world than mine.

With Richard Quest reporting. He came unglued. It was like watching the clown car at the circus. My absolutely favorite line was: "This is the end of capitalism!!!!!!!" I laughed out loud at the sheer presumptuousness of such a statement -- and answered back, "No it's not, you fool." The end of a lot of poor souls' life savings, which was no laughing matter -- but not the end of capitalism, ever.

Without ever know the piece of salacious gossip you just posted, I have never looked at Quest the same since. I just keep waiting to see if he will ever again rise to the level of his Stock Market Crash performance.

Seriously there is not one job I have ever interviewed for, and not been given a job offer....well, there was just the one, where they said they could not understand what I was saying....pillocks and bloody bollocks to them..
