They keep saying the dramatic rise and fall of altitude shows a novice pilot was flying it... I think it is just the opposite.

The pax were deliberately taken out. It's the only possible explanation I can figure.

This wasn't necessarily the pilot though.

I don't believe the 45,000 feet claim for one second.

It's likely rubbish.
