Freedom Watch would be hysterically funny if they weren't serious

My husband is a registered Republican, so we periodically get mailings from the far, far, far right. A Freedom Watch mailing appeared today. Highlights:

"REVEALED: Hussein Obama's NSA Spying Scheme is only his first step toward rounding up patriots and declaring MARTIAL LAW"

"...Hussein Obama's despotic home-grown GESTAPO..."

"...turning this nation that you and I love into an Islamo-Fascist Banana Republic and becoming America's first Dictator-in-Chief."

According to this letter, Obama, who got into office with a forged birth certificate, is planning to not leave office and round up Christians and Tea Partiers. Only sending them money will prevent his evil, wicked, and sinister plans. It's so bizarrely over the top, the Weekly World News couldn't have done better. What really scares me, though, is that they think there are people who believe this crap and will send them money.

Our neighbor got one, too, so I suspect this was a mailing to all registered Republicans in this rather red district in rural western PA.

And oddly, they don't call Obama weak. They call him evil, wicked, and sinister a lot and once they call him a "globalist Muslim puppet master." It hints that you may need firearms to protect yourself because he's already built a fake city in Virginia so the shock troops can "practice putting down Tea Party insurrectionists."

Honestly, this thing is so over the top it reaches the level of parody. Heck, it reaches beyond parody and enters the realm of the absurd.

There are. My sister in law is one of them. She votes for and supports candidates who do the exact opposite of what her precious bible says her Jesus taught, yet swears she is as saintly a Christian as you'll find anywhere.

She votes for and supports candidates who policies and agendas do incredible damage to the country as well as the social fabric, and insists she is the patriot.

Thankfully her husbands, (my wifes brother and a union member) votes cancel out hers.
