(733 posts)The big redevelopment project at the foot of the bridge needed to have those lanes to sell their condos. The "traffic study" was studying how much graft Christie's group could get to promise the lanes would not be permanently closed.

As far as I can see, the report didn't include any mention of other reasons for the closure except revenge on Ft. Lee.
