(130,479 posts)for acts done in their official capacity as president (Nixon v. Fitzgerald). So it would depend on which actions he's being sued for (I would certainly argue that inciting insurrection is not an official presidential act). He is not immune from a civil action based on something he did before he became president (Clinton v. Jones).

(2,355 posts)and IMO they have very clear evidence so it should be a very good case against him. Why was the crowd there on Jan 6th? Because he told/asked them to be. Time and place. He amassed them, he sent them to the Capital -- without tRump, this would not have happened.
