I don't ever want to hear what a "reasonable" guy Joe Scarborough is again here...

This A.M., on his stupid show which I tune to while getting ready AT RIDICULOUS HOURS IN THE MORNING IN ORDER TO PROVIDE HEALTH CARE AT REMARKABLE "DISCOUNTS" TO PEOPLE, TRYING TO KEEP MY HEAD ABOVE WATER, DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE SKIMMING MY PROFIT TO A GREAT DEGREE, he had the temerity to refer to some "young people" as byapssing the insurance company, paying their doctor "$1000. a year" for care, and thus avoiding the system. My systolic blood pressure went over 200 when I heard him say this...good thing my Beta Blocker was working and I still had some Norvasc in my bloodstream.

The day was saved when Willie said words to the effect of: that's great until you're in a car accident and have to spend two months in a hospital and can't pay for it.

Moran Joe pretended that he didn't comprehend that and "moved on". Dumb bastard...selling America down the river so his buddies can make gigantic profits and move the money to the Caymans and build vehicle garage elevators in their homes for their classic car fleets.

You can watch Press on Current, or Stephanie Miller from 8-11 (CDST). MSNBC is rather right-wing in the morning, though even there it's not as bad as FAKE News.

Why bother watching this program?

What is to be gained by your doing so?

It certainly is not a news program, but simply one of opinion & infotainment and one with which you certainly disagree & find disagreeable...

In my opinion life is too short and the few that watch his program, the less impact he has.

it allows me to see what the RW meme is going to be on any given day, and consider best how to counter it. I'm trying to do my part for the movement, as it were. Anyone here think that Joe Scum is an "original thinker"? He simply repeats what we used to call "blast faxes"...now Tweets I guess, or daily position papers...

If he is having such negative physical effects as you describe, I would personally choose to avoid him, but if you feel it necessary to watch him, that is certainly your choice.

I can pretty much figure out what he or the other RW infotainment folks will be saying on pretty much any topic without doing so, but whatever works for you.

Take Care...

but I don't need to actually watch or listen to these buffoons to keep up with what they're saying. Like the old adage goes, you've seen/heard one of them, you've seen/heard them all. They're quite predictably interchangeable. Between visiting DU and Media Matters, I've got all the bases covered - all without the aggravation that comes from watching/listening to smarmy talking-head 'personalities.'

my husband says to me "you watch that show and go on DU and then you're pissed off for the rest of day!" He has a point. So I plan another activity to put into place when Scar gets on my last nerve. I do like to hear the RW memes that I know are coming, but once I get the drift I can let the program go. One thing you CAN do and I do this: go to the MJ website on msnbc.com and read the listing of who is on the next day's show. You'll get an idea of just how much of a RW dose you can take and plan accordingly...

ok - so Kudlow this morning. But usually have a wide variety of opinions.

So, for those who don't like it, don't watch it. Really pretty simple, isn't it. Grab the remote and change the channel.

I am amazed at those who watch the show religiously and them complain about it. Sponsors do not care whether you agree or not - just that you tune in. That really seems to be lost on some.

Melissa Harris-Perry I feel a lot better. Bill Press's show sounds like a good complement to those.

I DO watch MJ when Howard Dean or Ezra Klein or Katrina VandenHeuval are on.

If you can, try out Hayes and MHP on Sat and Sun morning. It blows a big hole in your weekend chore time, tho (I often have to go back and watch their segments online, which is a great way to get filled in)...

I listen to their programs through my computer with a radio and earphones. That way I can get my chores done (boring) but be entertained at the same time. I can even work outside in the yard and listen to radio or tv programs.

I agree with you about MJ. I like to be aware of the daily rightwing memes too, and it is the least offensive program for hearing them as they have good guests too.

"Reasonable" is an absurd description of the Intern Killer but I guess it works compared to Perry or Bachman.

Still, it sounds very stupid. Kinda like saying dogshit is palatable because possum shit is so vile.
