is when a strange man follows you home from work, tries to break into your house, runs away, and the cops still don't fugging believe you even with the perv's running car still in the driveway!!!!

Some cops don't do a lot (or can't).

When my x's house across the street was abandoned people tried to break in and steal from it weekly. I can't tell how many times the cops showed up and did nothing but one of the times I met the cop over there, my x and her husband did, and we blocked off the perp. He had some made up excuse (as most did, all the same one) that the bank hired him to clean out the place and he forgot his paperwork. Cops let him go. They always did make people put things back they took (and one guy had a trunk full).

It is your word against theirs and even when it isn't you'll find cops will want even more evidence. We literally had a riot three doors down from me. Baseball bats, chains, etc with about twenty people and not one of them ended up in jail (there were a slew of cruisers and ambulances).

It isn't just rape, it is just about any crime around here and the cops show up, shrug it off, and go back to cruising the streets.

But damn, you gotta admit, that IS messed up. Those cops oughta be disciplined for their stupidity.
