After tonight's Cosmos

I expect a certain industry (the American Oil Institute) to scream foul. Though that was extremely well done. And we need scientists today to take on industry...but our regulatory agencies and congress...have been captured. It is maddening at times. Alas, one man did change history and took on a very powerful industry and won.

Be inspired!!!!

Posted on the same topic. They fought the right to produce leaded gasoline much like they're fighting to deny global warming.

It's like cigarettes all over again.

*peak conventional natural gas has already happened, only future gas reserves are unconventional, which require earthquake causing, water table polluting, fracking. Unfortunately the wind and solar industries rely on natural gas to keep going.

Fairly mediocre, but they came back hard, I hope it keeps going this way. Enough filler, get to the science. I loved it, absolutely loved it, when they showed Patterson calling out the names of the "scientists before him." Going to watch that part again even. Amazing. Lovely.

I hope so much they keep the quality up, I was really disappointed with the last couple of episodes.

Unbelievable. I didn't know this. I actually teared up. The guy who discovered the age of the earth got leaded-gasoline banned. Amazing.

They must be blasting it on their media outlets. And she was pro-science. Pro-higher education. And anti-corporate. She's a hostage of the Right Wing Media.
