Watching Chris Hayes tonight and he quoted a quote from Upton Sinclair.....

It is very difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends on not understanding it.

How we ever made it without pipelines is a mystery.

At the rate we are going, the world will become one big pipeline and we'll all be saved and live forever and ever, amen.

Within hours of the president's State of the Union speech, the House of Representatives voted overwhelmingly to adopt the measures as part of a wide-ranging farm bill that passed by 251 to 166 votes and has already been endorsed by the Senate’s Democratic leadership.

The bills, which were nearly identical, passed by 399 to 19 in the House and by 98 to 2 in the Senate. President Obama has said he will sign the legislation, which includes new sanctions against Russians and Ukrainians who provided support to Russia in its annexation of the Crimea region of Ukraine.

or ensure that our people get taken care of? Because from where I stand, you love the NSA, want to fund it in every way possible, and don't care that the surveillance budget directly takes food out of the mouths of children.

Poor people buy food in bulk, and need to bulk up on rice, potatoes, and other carbs to make ends meet. That $90 a month probably represents all the protein they get for the month. it's sad, and sick.

about how the NSA is making us safer while robbing us of our privacy while increasing their budget so we can yank the food out of the mouths of children, elderly persons and the disabled.

I want to see the real diehards come into this thread and defend that.

is in some offshore accounts, so they need OUR money to bet on Ukraine. Surely you don't begrudge them more profits from foreign interventions do you?

Who cares about hungry American kids, that would be politically naive and we have moved forward from all that bleeding heart liberal stuff, like worrying about our own children and unemployed when there is money to be made for the top 1%.

just in case!
