***The Cliven Bundy Story is NOT Over
by Seahawk
.............................
I am of the opinion any mediate who lets the GOP off the hook for this affair is doing nothing more than giving them cover to harbor the next Cliven Bundy and I begin to question what lies within their hearts.
This is the not epilogue, this is the preface. It's high time the GOP was shamed into coming back into the fold of rational - reasonable action. Stop voting to kill Obamacare, stop blocking jobs bills, stop ignoring climate change, stop trying to suppress the vote.
It's time the GOP have their noses soundly rubbed into the shit Cliven Bundy has left on the living room floor of our nation. Allowing the GOP to squirm away without a full throated mea culpa do nothing but enable the next Bundy, the next George Zimmerman, the next Oklahoma City bomber.
I am not at all comfortable with letting the GOP off the hook because I know they have not learned their lesson.

from -Charles M. Blow:
The legacy of slavery must be liberated from political commentary.
Casual, careless and incorrect references to slavery, much like blithe references to Nazi Germany, do violence to the memory of those who endured it, or were lost to it, and to their descendants.
There is no modern-day comparison in this country to the horrors of slavery.
None!
Leave it alone.
Remember, honor and respect.
Thats all.

(50,130 posts)....for a woman running for congress from Oregon; her number one campaign issue was repealing Obamacare. This was stated multiple times in her ad. Amazing. Here in Oregon!

(50,130 posts)The state is going to have to dump the 270+ million dollar web site for Cover Oregon. It has not worked properly yet. No one can sign up online. The state is having to just shut it down, and go to the federal exchange site.

explaining to my local wingnuts of topix how much damage Bundy has done to the tea party/G.O.P.. I explained it like I was talking to a third grader...
"The damage Cliven Bundy has done to the GOP/Tea Party is INCALCULABLE.
Right wing politicians such as Rick Perry, Rand Paul and many others have been making public statements for weeks in support of Bundy.
Pay attention here, teafucks, let this sink in through your thick skulls...
Every GOP prick who made statements supporting Bundy will have an ad aired by the Dems showing film clip of gop politician cheerleading for Bundy, alongside Bundy's little speech telling us all about "the negroe, and MLK and Rosa Parks".
Kiss the house goodbye, teafucks. "

(4,734 posts)... I was replying to a wingnut who had repeatedly referred to me as a "lib****" on topix, forgot myself and descended to their level. I have edited out the offensive suffix, and certainly meant no offense to those with mental health issues. I shall refrain from using the term henceforward.

(12,504 posts)and in EVERY TV or newspaper interview Democrats should take EVERY opportunity to bring Bundy into the conversation and label the GOP as supporters of racist welfare mooching domestic terrorists.
You can bet your last dollar the GOP would do that on steroids to the Democratic Party.

(34,661 posts)Some dickwadd running for congress has a ad running on all the TV stations claiming the same shit. He is promoting himself as the guy who single handily fought ACA in Nevada at no charge to the public. Our two bit tin horn Governor did his best to cripple the Nevada Health Care web site by not hiring enough people to take care of business. Now we have law suit after law suit against the state.
Going to be interesting here in Nevada this election cycle. Between the Krotch Brothers and Sheldon Adelsen dumping tons of bucks into anti Reid ads,and the TeaBillies and the Militia Groups hanging out in Mesquite, going to be one hot summer. Reid is a bit pissed at the locals who are running the ads and from what I see,he has started the big push back by doing interviews in Washoe County and with the Reno News outlets. This guy is coming after these asshole with guns blazing.
Bundy's shit on the living room floor is going to stick on every Rethugs boots. Waiting for the Mesquit Duffas to give us more of his intellectual hyperbola. Weather is a bit nasty around hois digs today so we will have to wait till Monday. You just know there will be more wisdom to come. He -He!!

(841 posts)First Bundy ... now Sterling! How many more racist top one-percenters to come?
Yet Chief Justice John Roberts based some his recent rulings on his (public) opinion that racism is no longer a problem in this country.
