Funeral Director: No Signs of Fight or Struggle Present on Trayvon’s Hands

According to funeral director Richard Kurtz of Roy Mizell and Kurtz Funeral Home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 17-year-old Trayvon Martin did not have any cuts or bruises on his hands to indicate that he was in a fight with George Zimmerman on the night that the neighborhood watch captain murdered him.

Speaking exclusively to HLN’s Nancy Grace, Kurtz said that when he prepared Martin’s body the only injury that was discernible was a gunshot wound to Martin’s upper-chest area.

Though Kurtz made it clear that he was not a forensic specialist, he shared that he had prepared the bodies of many homicide victims and the more he learned about the misconduct and negligence in Trayvon’s case the more he felt compelled to speak out.

1. The evidence is piling up-Zimmerman's story is disintegrating before our eyes

(to quote Jonathon Capehart). I don't think Zimmerman will ever be taken into custody. I think he'll commit suicide before he turns himself in. The man is irrational and armed-thats a really dangerous combination.

2. That answers the question I've been asking ever since the claim that there was a fight

I can't say that I'm surprised by the revelation.

5. Good grief why aren't we getting info from the autopsy instead of a funeral director?

This is so screwed up.

8. This case is going to be so tainted by the time it gets to the jury.

How jurors will separate the trial by media from a real trial is beyond me.

7. It looks more and more like this:

Martin was walking home with his Skittles and iced tea when some big plug ugly in car slowed down and started to drive really slowly while the plug ugly gave him the stink eye. Martin picked up his speed, maybe even started to run. The plug ugly got out of his vehicle and gave chase.

Martin was describing the whole thing to his girlfriend when the plug ugly caught up to him, gun drawn. Martin began screaming for help and the big guy panicked and shot him.

Zimmerman was standing some distance from Martin when he shot him. There was no blood on his clothing and a direct shot to something vital in the upper chest puts out a tremendous amount of blood. Nor did he try to give aid, same thing. It looks like Martin was never close enough to be any sort of a threat, not that he could have been given the differences in their sizes.

This is why vigilantes should never, ever be armed with anything but a cell phone to call police. They have always had the nasty habit of shooting first and getting the wrong guy every single time. Had Zimmerman followed this procedure, he'd never have had the bravado to exit his vehicle and chase a kid whose only crime was walking while black.

9. I come up with exactly the same scenario

I think this was murder, plain and simple. There never was a fight. Were there power burns on Martin's shirt? I bet not.

11. Not that the cops bothered to look for them

They've tried to cover this up from the start. Forensic evidence is going to be hard to come by.
