When it comes to the minimum wage, I’ve accepted that all that the politicians in Washington are going to do for now is play politics with it. But does that mean they have to be stupid about it too?

While I don't support poor service, I can at least understand it if the worker is being paid minimum wage. The attitude may likely be one of "Hey, my employer doesn't value the work I do, why should I?"

I've said for years: 'If you pay minimum wage, you're gonna get minimum effort.'

I made $3.70 an hour in the mid 70's. Gas had just jumped to $0.70 a gallon, bread and milk were around $0.50. My rent was $225 a month and it was a nice place.
