Time For Straight Talk About The GOP's War On Everything

The Tayvon Martin incident exposes some brutal truths about the GOP as well as the RW and its reaction to the murder. For one the GOP and it allies are not just racist. They are at war with minorities to start with. They are also waging war on women and their rights. Now with the Ryan budget they are declaring war on seniors and the poor. They are waging war on workers with their policies. They are waging war with college kids by denying them the vote with all these twisted laws. They are at war with teachers. They are at war on non believers. They are at war with homosexuals even suggesting they should be killed or jails

We have to wage war on teabaggers, the RW wing and the GOP politically. It should be a verbal scorched earth counter attack calling for the traitors they are. They wave the flag and holler freedom yet they silence all dissent. We will not have a prosperous or peaceful country if these slugs prevail. We have to call them out 24/7. And we have to be brutal about it. It is hard to stay civil while they are going ballistic and savaging everyone who disagrees.

They are against everything that makes this country viable. I believe in the Norman Goldman school of "smash mouth" politics.

If we don't bury these bastards in November and give Romney and the GOP a new orifice we are all done.

1. YES. Why can't we call them what they are?

I think scorched-earth is a good thing.

If our Dems are too lazy, stupid, or naive to wage a messaging war, then I guess it's up to US.

I'm just frickin' tired of our side carrying feather dusters to gun fights.

I'm pissed off, too.

The Repugnant Party's rhetoric has to be taken down hard.

Obama's talk today about oilco tax breaks was a good start.

3. Pussified Dems have fallen into a trap.

"If we are mean, we are just as bad as they are."

No.

They lie.

We don't have to lie. We stand for the workers, the poor, the sick, the elderly, the discriminated, the marginalized, the family, liberty, clean air and food, protection of the earth, and so many more admirable causes.

We don't have to lie. We tell the truth and they hate it.

But our leaders are pussified. They get money from corporations. They fear conflict.

Look back to LBJ. He got what he wanted from Congress. Look at Harry Truman.

If Democrats would shake off the timidity, the party would be even more than the current 13 points above Pugs in the polls.

4. We're too soft on criminals in this society.

And let's call a spade a spade- the GOP is THE political party for criminals in this country. The longer we stay soft and apathetic about getting rid of them all the longer we're going to continue to march headlong down the path towards third world country status. We're all slaves to a handful of power elite and that's what we're going to be until we fight back and remove them from power. WE are the 99% and THEY are the 1%. Yet with all our numbers behind us are aren't counter-attacking.

Every single individual that doesn't think like they do is a soldier in a war in this country. A silent civil war. In war you expect to fight, and you expect that you might loose life or limb but you fight because if you don't you lose.

Losing is unacceptable.

Everyone here seems to be of a like mind on this page. That's good to see. It's a start. Remember that words are among the oldest and most powerful weapons there are. We all need to be well armed in this coming storm.

The truth is that the only issue the GOP cares about is the economy (i.e. using policy to make money for the 1%). They use all other issues to trick people into voting against their own best financial interest. The best issues to do this are ones that appeal to irrational thought ( racism, bigotry, abortion, etc..)
There is another reason that they take these positions on issues that they don't really care about; it distracts Dems from their real agenda ( the aforementioned felating of the wealthy...if that really is a word... ). If dems are outraged enough on the issue, the GOP can maybe slip through more of their 1% policy in exchange for compromises on the issue that they only pretend to care about. As long as the Democrats continue stand firm on non-economic issues, they will never control the government. If they take care of economics, the other issues will come later. We need to expose the fact that the GOP does not really care about 99% of its Voter Base, and we might win. If we continue to allow them to stir up their Base and then blame us when they fail to deliver on promises, we will lose.
I know this will piss people off, But I am predicting a Romney presidential win. We Democrats just are not going to show up. And even if we win it all, we won't show up at mid-term and Obama's legacy will be naught. I hope I am wrong, but I think liberals will stay at home on election night, patting themselves on the back for the little victories they will win even as they lose it all.

Last I check, our country doesn't seem to have a good record when it comes to winning wars.

What did Dr. Martin Luther King Gandhi call their tactics. I think that's probably more instructive than anything.
After all, though they personally may have fallen to the assassins bullets, I think ultimately (especially in the case of Gandhi) they won.

12. That is why we must BAN the GOP and open up democracy for ALL!

It is imperitive that we seriously look into banning the republican party for GOOD. I am TIRED of people actually accepting the horrific notion that the GOP is a political party. They are NOT. They are an instrument of flagellating their intrusive, insidiously illegal policies on us, and we can NOT just sit here and take it anymore.

REPUBLICANS NEED TO BE DESTROYED. It is THAT simple. We have to take them out any way possible. The easiest way is to just get Eric Holder to enact the RICO statutes on the party. We have TONS of evidence that the republicans have usurped and bastardized the political process using their captiously crappy capitalist cyst-em.

I'm sorry, but this is no time to play nice. We need to divert our OWS resources away from the parks and, literally, park in front of EVERY GOP election headquarters in the country. We need to LOUDLY DENOUNCE the nazis running as republicans for ALL offices.

THERE IS NO MORE TIME. IT IS NOW OR NEVER.

the smart move would be for those that have the resources to leave the USA, ASAP, get out while the getting is good and don't plan on ever comming back.

Those who cannot afford to leave need to stock up on guns, ammo, food, water and medical supplies.

Things will get really ugly fast and you best be prepared.
