SEVEN DEMOCRATS Vote WITH Republicans To Establish Benghazi Select Committee

WHY ARE THESE PEOPLE DEMOCRATS? Really. They want a select committee, yes another committee to look into Benghazi. It is nothing more than a political witch hunt.

The House voted 232-186 to approve the panel. The vote breakdown was 225 Republicans and 7 Democrats in favor, with 186 Democrats voting against the measure.

The vote was never in doubt, as majority Republicans largely were united in support of the committee ever since House Speaker John Boehner called for it last week. Unclear is whether Democrats will boycott the investigation itself.

Here are the (Republicans) Democrats who voted to keep this charade going;

Reps. John Barrow (D-GA-pictured),
Patrick Murphy (D-FL),
Ron Barber (D-AZ),
Mike McIntyre (D-NC),
Collin Peterson (D-MN),
Nick Rahall (D-WV) and
Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ).

This is what some around here fail to gather....THOSE are the Democrats you need to be "hating on"....THEY... not some that are so often called "Centrists" "Authoritarian" and "ThirdWay" around here....are what we should be focusing on. There are about a half dozen or so actual BLUE DOGS left. The last Midterm took about half their numbers out and replaced them with Teabagger candidates.....But THESE guys.....they are the true wolves in sheeps clothing some on DU are on a witch hunt about but are focussing on the entirely wrong ones....AND it gives THESE guys cover! While you are bashing every Democrat not named Elizabeth Warren....these guys are left out of the news cycle! Look at em...you barely know their names! You have to ask yourself....."why is that"? "Why haven't we heard those names..." "Why aren't we talking about THEM and the things THEY are voting for and against." So the people that are in a position to vote for them....KNOWS who they are and what they are about! Drive a wedge between them and the constituents.....and they will primary him and a fresh Democrat will step up to take their place...

And what do you do about these people? I agree with Randi Rhodes parting advice (besides vote and take someone with you to vote).....is to SHAME them!

Shame them....put them on display and openly show disgust for their positions.....Don't ignore them....SHAME them!

I see one from North Carolina and they had their primary already. The others I would imagine that the deadline has passed by now. In two years another opportunity to get rid of them will occur.

Let's bring this full circle, shall we?

Greenwald: Obama officials' spin on Benghazi attack mirrors Bin Laden raid untruths

We now see exactly the same pattern emerging with the attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya and the killing of the US ambassador. For a full week now, administration officials have categorically insisted that the prime, if not only, cause of the attack was spontaneous anger over the anti-Muhammad film, The Innocence of Muslims.

...

Predictably, and by design, most media accounts from the day after the Benghazi attack repeated the White House line as though it were fact, just as they did for the Bin Laden killing. Said NPR on 12 September: "The US ambassador to Libya and three other Americans were killed in an attack on the US consulate in Benghazi by protesters angry over a film that ridiculed Islam's Prophet Muhammad." The Daily Beast reported that the ambassador "died in a rocket attack on the embassy amid violent protests over a US-produced film deemed insulting to Islam." To date, numerous people believe – as though there were no dispute about it – that Muslims attacked the consulate and killed the US ambassador "because they were angry about a film".

As it turns out, this claim is almost certainly false.

...

The Obama administration's claims about the Benghazi attack are but the latest in a long line of falsehoods it has spouted on crucial issues, all in order to serve its interests and advance its agenda. Perhaps it is time to subject those claims to intense skepticism and to demand evidence before believing they are true.

To ratfuck, or to feel like part of "the winning team."

You can tell on DU because they're all named stuff like "BlueDemLibLeftKerry04" and every argument they have is "I'm a Democrat, so!"

You can tell in congress 'cause they vote with republicans, so it's a little more clear (we have several honest democrats who just have cheesy screen names, after all )
