"Hate" Meghan??.......Hate is such a strong term.............
Meghan McCain was sharply critical of Karl Rove during an interview with Larry King, going so far as to say she hates him and that he needs to apologize to her family. The daughter of the 2008 Republican presidential nominee showed no love for the political commentator and said he is no longer a relevant political figure, according to a transcript of the interview from Ora.TVs PoliticKING with Larry King that will air on Thursday night.
Tensions between the McCains and Rove have been mounting since Sen. John McCains (R-Ariz.) 2000 campaign in South Carolina. Rumors began to circulate that McCain had an illegitimate black child during his 2000 race, incorrectly labeling the senators adopted child from Bangladesh. Rove later denied that he had started the rumor, but that did not stop McCain from calling Rove a pathetic excuse for a human being in regards to the incident in her 2012 book America, You Sexy Bitch: A Love Letter to Freedom.
In regards to his latest media attention, where Rove made comments about Hillary Clintons health, McCain found the comments to be a disgusting sign of what is to come. I think what we saw with Karl Rove talking about her health, though, is sort of just the beginning, McCain said. Just the tip of the iceberg of whats going to happen with the attacks on her.

So maybe we should thank McCain. His error kept him--and the Caribou Cannon--out of the White House.

Exposing Karl Rove
By Wayne Madsen
November 2002
He's America's Joseph Goebbels. As a 21-year old Young Republican in Texas, Karl Rove not only pimped for Richard Nixon's chief political dirty tricks strategist Donald Segretti but soon caught the eye of the incoming Republican National Committee Chairman, George H. W. Bush. Rove's dirty tricks on behalf of Nixon's 1972 campaign catapulted Rove onto the national stage. From his Eagle's Nest in the West Wing of the White House, Rove now directs a formidable political dirty tricks operation and disinformation mill.
Since his formative political years when he tried to paint World War II B-24 pilot and hero George McGovern as a left-wing peacenik through his mid-level career as a planter of disinformation in the media on behalf of Texas and national GOP candidates to his current role as Dubya's "Svengali," Rove has practiced the same style of slash and burn politics as did his Nixonian mentor Segretti. Many of us remember the Lincolnesque Senator Ed Muskie breaking down in tears during the 1972 campaign over Segretti-planted false stories in a New Hampshire newspaper that accused Mrs. Muskie of being a heavy smoker, drinker, and cusser and accused Muskie of uttering a slur in describing New Hampshire's French Canadian population. Rove's hero also forged letters on fake Muskie campaign letterhead, disrupted rallies and fundraising dinners, and spread false stories about the sex lives of candidates. Segretti's brush also smeared George McGovern, George Wallace, Shirley Chisholm, and McGovern's first vice presidential choice, Senator Tom Eagleton. Segretti of course did not go on to a high-level White House job -- he was sentenced to six months in federal prison for distributing illegal campaign material.
In many respects, however, the apprentice Rove has far exceeded the chicanery and evil-mindedness of his mentor Segretti. Rove is a tech-savvy puppet master for Bush. Take, for example, last June's discovery of a "lost" CD-ROM in Lafayette Park across from the White House. Contained on the CD was a PowerPoint presentation given by White House political director Ken Mehlman to Rove on the strategy for next Tuesday's off-year election. The slide show showed First Brother Jeb Bush being vulnerable in Florida. Jeb Bush later joked that the disc was part of a plot cooked up by him and his brother to make it appear that he was vulnerable in order to rally an otherwise complacent GOP base in the Sunshine State. Or was it a joke? Jeb Bush and his political minions like Katherine Harris have shown us that if anyone thinks what the GOP has done in Florida is funny they have an incredibly sick sense of humor.
Rove's own tendency to be sick-minded originates with his mentor Segretti. The 2000 GOP primary was a chance for Rove to hone his skills in dirty tricks. His target then was Senator John McCain who appeared to be within striking distance of Dubya in South Carolina after the then-GOP maverick's surprise upset victory in New Hampshire. Rove's operation proceeded to target McCain with false stories: McCain was a stoolie for his captors in the Hanoi Hilton (this from a lunatic self-promoting Vietnam "veteran"
And Rove's penchant for fascistic demagoguery and outright lying continues to this very day. After Paul Wellstone's sons asked that Vice President Dick Cheney not attend the Minneapolis memorial service for their father, mother, and sister, the White House explained that the real reason wasn't the surviving Wellstone family's abhorrence for Cheney but the fact the family didn't want Cheney's Secret Service protection to interfere with public access to the service. Of course, the Rove and Ari Fleischer disinformation machine forgot to take into account that two attendees, Bill and Hillary Clinton, had their own Secret Service details. But such is the case with a White House that takes its lessons from Goebbels and the editorial staff of the old Soviet News Agency Tass.
Rove's dirty fingerprints could also be seen in the Iowa Senate race between Tom Harkin and GOP candidate Greg Ganske. ...

(60,536 posts)In 2003 he claimed that he had uncovered information in a classified congressional report that he said contained information linking the September 11 attacks to the government of Saudi Arabia and the Bush administration through financial transactions with the hijackers. The Saudi Foreign Minister demanded the report be declassified so it could respond, however, the Bush administration refused, claiming that to do so would compromise intelligence sources and methods.[41]
In a 2010 interview for Veterans Today, when asked what he thought about claims by former Italian President Francesco Cossiga, Hamid Gul, the former head of Pakistans Intelligence Service and several investigative journalists that Israel was behind 9/11, Madsen stated that he believed the 9/11 attacks were "an operation carried out by Mossad, Saudi intelligence,...and elements of the CIA." [42]
Madsen has asserted in The Palestine Telegraph that hundreds of Iraqi scientists who had been assassinated or died in accidents after the invasion in 2003 were actually murdered by Mossad hit teams operating in Iraq.[43]
In 2010, Madsen reported in the Pakistan Daily that unnamed sources suggested that the company formerly known as Blackwater, had been conducting false-flag operations in Pakistan that were blamed on the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.[44]
He has asserted that members of AIPAC and Israel's Mossad dominate CNN's management and urges his readers to boycott CNN and its advertisers until they are fired. He has begun a project to oppose Israel as a threat to world peace.[45] Madsen has stated in an interview that "the Israeli lobby owns the Congress, media, Hollywood, Wall Street, both political parties and the White House".[46][42]
On April 25, 2009, Madsen said that unidentified journalists from Mexico and Indonesia had spoken to some unidentified UN World Health Organization officials and scientists believed the 2009 new H1N1 strain of swine flu virus appeared to be the product of U.S. military sponsored gene splicing, as opposed to natural processes.[47][48] While it can not be ruled out that the virus was created in a research laboratory or vaccine factory, the most plausible explanation is that the virus is the result of modern farming techniques. New Scientist magazine cited the example of a H1N2 influenza pandemic in the 1990s that was a reassortment (mix) of swine, human and avian strains.[49]

(5,082 posts)Being closeted anything in politics is popular because if you have a secret that you can be manipulated. The bigger the secret the better. There are a lot of high ranking republicans who are gay but don't feel comfortable with being open about it. They tow the line because of it. I can't wait for gay marriage to become the norm in every state because it will be one less thing the power brokers can leverage over politicians, judges and journalists to get their way.

(60,536 posts)It's not exactly startling to see that Karl Rove has denied he was aware his own father was gay, even as he guided the GOP into anti-gay wedge politics in the last decade (the Christianists, he coolly calculated, had potentially way more votes for the GOP than gays and their families). But it is important to note that it is untrue that he had no idea his dad was gay or that he was unaware it was the reason for his parents' divorce. From James Moore, the author of The Architect, a biography of Rove:When I went to Palm Springs in 2005 prior to the publication of The Architect, one of Louis Rove's neighbors literally laughed when I told him Karl claimed he didn't know what happened to his parents' marriage.
"He [Karl] was obviously hurt by the divorce. It's just absurd when he says, 'I had no idea what the problems were with my parents and their marriage.' He knew damned good and well what was going on. His father had decided to come out of the closet."
In fact, according to Louis Rove's best friend Joe Koons, Rove not only knew his father's sexual orientation but also was comfortable with it and had accepted his father's honesty.

Google search pulls up a couple articles claiming Rove is at least bi-sexual:

I don't buy it; that his Dad was gay, yes. That Karl is gay or bi? No.

There are no women in his life. Not one. Mehlman was gay also but he came out after he was done representing the republican party. Remember Jeff Gannon who had more visits to the White House in 2001-2005 than anyone on earth? Maybe Karl was calling him. Who knows

Love, etc.: Karl Rove weds Karen Johnson
By The Reliable Source
Married: Karl Rove and Karen Johnson, in a small, under-the-radar wedding in Austin late last month. The nuptials of the Republican mega-strategist, 61, and the lobbyist, who is in her mid-40s, were first noted in passing in a Politico story about his dealings with casino billionaire and campaign donor Steve Wynn, who apparently flew the newlyweds to Naples on his jet. The groom would give us no other details on the wedding.
Rove and Johnson have been quietly dating for a couple of years, according to Texas pals. Its the third marriage for Rove, who was divorced in 2009 from Darby Rove, with whom he has a son.

I knew Mehlman was gay when he was out campaigning against his community by approving the homophobic campaign of '04. There's nothing wrong with my gaydar.

I didn't agree with a lot of what McCain said back in 2000...
but he was clearly the more rational between the two (him and bush)...
the way KKKarl and the bush campaign went after McCain on a personal level was truly a sick thing to behold...
which makes ya hafta ask... why did he become such an ass kisser after his loss?
had it been me, and my family, I would have disliked the man until I dropped dead for the things he did.. but that just me. lol
