It Was A Job Interview. (For anybody who missed the true purpose of Rove's attack on Clinton.)

In case anybody failed to see the purpose of Roves ridiculous claim about Hilary Clinton's 'brain damage,' I'll explain it.

It was his performance for a JOB INTERVIEW.
(Applying for the job of CHIEF GOP RATF#@!ER.)

Rove used to have a full time job as 'Bush's Brain.' It lasted for 28 years, from the start of George W. Bush's political ambitions, to the end of them. When the Bush Presidency ended, so did his career. Bush left the country AND the GOP in ruins, and Rove was viewed as one of the key people who made that possible. The 'new' GOP (nativist, stupid, isolationist...) has no use for the old establishment, but ESPECIALLY not the 'Bush's Brain."

He's desperate to become relevant again, and he keeps trying and failing.

1. "Maybe I can be a political king maker again?" He shook-down a handful of plutocrats for $300,000,000 in the 2012 election cycle and DIDN'T ELECT ONE SINGLE CANDIDATE. FAIL. Try something else.

2. "Maybe I can be a 'pundint.'" He appeared regularly on Fox News with his stupid little white board, insisting that Romney would win in 2012, and that Obama's numbers were 'based on a 2008 turnout model,' and finally ended his career as a political Nostradamus by clinging to Brett Baier's feet on election night begging him not to call the election for Obama until his operatives had had the chance to hack some more computers in Ohio. FAIL. Try something else.

3. Well, let's face it, his credentials as a political "Rat F@#ker" (aka a specialist in political dirty tricks and smear campaigns) are impeccable. How about trying THAT on for a full time job?

Here are a few 'highlights:'

--He planted a bug in his own office, and then blamed it on the Democrats just before the televised debate, when Bush was running for Governor of Texas. It worked.

--He started a whisper campaign in Alabama against a Democratic judge candidate, who supported an orphanage and was frequently photographed with boys from the orphanage, insinuating he was a pedophile.

--He planted a PUSH POLL during the South Carolina primary designed to convince people that John McCain's adopted daughter from Bangladesh was actually an illegitimate child he'd had with a black woman. It worked. McCain had been winning until Rove unleashed the racists.

--He organized the 'Swiftboat' campaign against John Kerry, and probably the fake documents leaked to Dan Rather about Bush's National Guard 'service.' Both worked, taking down both Kerry AND Rather (just for the fun of it). I'm sure ruining Rather's career made PaPa Bush happy, anyway.

So, Rove's credentials as a virtuoso in ridiculous smear campaigns is beyond reproach. That's all he was doing the other day. Auditioning for the job. It did no damage to Hilary Clinton, and he didn't intend it to. He simply wanted to ingratiate himself to the Republican Base, and apply for a new, full time job. It should be reported as such.
