Let's don't use the name of these mass murderers, if we can avoid it.

Such as the one who's all over the media now, the killer in Santa Barbara.

One of the reasons these creeps do these mass murders is for notoriety. If they can't do something good,
by george, they want their name remembered for something notorious.

So let's don't use their names, and refer to them as "the killer," "the murderer," or "the little f*****."

where possible.

Many people would rather receive negative attention than be ignored.

Here's an example:

Excerpt from John Lennon’s murderer’s parole interview: (in the quote, I've replaced his name with an appropriate noun.)

“Why did you target this victim,” the parole board member asked.

“Because he was very famous,” the killer replied.

“And what did you want to get out of it?” the board member asked.

“Attention, bottom line,” the killer said.

Later, the board member asked how the murderer feels about that attention now.

“Absolutely it was not worth it. Absolutely ridiculously selfish act to take another human’s life so that I could be pumped into, you know, something that I wasn’t to begin with,” the killer said. “I deeply regret it.”

So he deeply regrets it! Well, that doesn't change a fricking thing, now does it?

And Elliott Rodgers isn't "He Who Shall Not Be Named."

History cannot be erased. The dead don't hear their names. And irrational killers are irrational. And I'd like to see what evidence supports your apparent theory that the prospect of notoriety is the deciding line between one of these acting or not acting.

If my child were murdered I would make damn sure the whole fucking world knew the murderers name.
