We have certainly lost two people who understood the essence of humanity. They will be sorely missed but thankfully their memory and their words will live on.

But, both left a massive amount of wisdom behind in their writings. That cannot die. Each of us dies, but if we live and affect people's lives in a positive way, that part of us lives on. Nelson Mandela and Maya Angelou did that in very large measure, so they will live on in a big way.

But neither of those people will ever be removed from the Earth. Their words and spirits will remain for generations to come.

someone whom I did not know personally. But, wait... It could be said that I did know them personally, as they gave of themselves so selflessly.
