does moral authority have a role in a free, democratic, society? Who defines morality? Does the "who" = right? Or "righteous?"

I know this is an obvious issue here. But have we really balanced the fact that people play this card with every election, and they fail/win. Is "morality" black/white = fail/win?

All I know is that their view of what is moral and mine differ greatly.

2. define "their" vs. "mine"

my issue is that i am having many issues with the left/progressive community that is ME that I am not agreeing with. Thus they feel like they are becoming "them." I don't like that.

3. Their and mine

are easily defined in my mind but not so easy to put in words. Between so called "conservatives" and "progressives" it is pretty obvious but that it is not your question, since you are pretty obviously a progressive yourself.

I'm guessing that your problem is with some progressives being judgmental or not judgmental enough on certain issues. If so, I've had the same dilemma and am sure many here do also.

Certain issues seem like black and white to me while others that seem balck and white to others here seem grayer to me.

What kind of issues are you having troubles with?
