(Alabama) Club promotes 'Food Stamp Friday' event

Fliers for "Food Stamp Friday" at a local nightclub in Montgomery, Ala., are causing a buzz around town. According to postcards for the event, you can show your Electronic Benefits Transfer card at the door for a discounted $5 cover charge and free shots inside. ...While Montgomery residents are left to wonder if it's mocking others' misfortune or a misplaced attempt to glamorize federal assistance, we can't imagine a better way to screen opportunistic gold diggers out of your club scene. <---msn's words

Pack the place with homeless folks and minorities that the rich white kids that frequent this place would never want to hang around with. Then sue the owner for false advertising when he refuses to give them free shots.

AFAIK, you can't use food stamp to buy stuff in bars, so why make this offer for real? $5 cover and free shots? The only thing this gets him is 'proof' that food stamp users are abusing the program.

The name of the club wasn't in the MSN article. If you want to prop up the Daily Caller that's your prerogative.

to avoid the link...but I guess you'd rather get all huffy and not actually bother with doing a little investigation instead of trying to blame 'whitey'...
