Up north we don't even pay attention unless it's larger than 4.
(I'm teasing. Sort of. Actually, in some respects, I think that duration is more alarming than Richter scale reading.)

(8,812 posts)Also, I was sitting in the San Jose Arena a number of years ago (maybe as many as 10) for a 5.2 (I believe). Interesting place to be for such a thing.
Quite safe, but still unsettling.
