Reading that feed, I get the impression that humanity is filed with a bunch of no good liars, prevaricators and confidence persons ....
Hardly any caring and considerate responses ...
Humanity sucks some times ...

He's become a big anti-smoking activist in the last few months.

(8,636 posts)4. It isn't! One of the things that Roddenberry bucked the networks on was smoking in Star Trek!
CBS at the time got loads of revenue from tobacco companies and they wanted the whole Enterprise crew smoking - somewhat like the Alien franchise. Roddenberry put his foot down on this, just like he did with having a multiracial crew.
