We're getting pretty damned close to a point where the Tea Party needs to be designated as a terrorist organization:

Neighbors of the couple who ambushed two police officers Sunday in Las Vegas told local newspapers the pair had bragged about spending time at Cliven Bundys ranch during the standoff with the federal government earlier this year.
The two suspects, whose names have not yet been released, fatally shot two police officers who were having lunch at a CiCis Pizza restaurant before killing a third person at a nearby Wal-Mart. The female suspect then shot the male suspect and then herself in an apparent suicide pact.
Neighbors in an apartment complex where the two suspects lived said they had a reputation for spouting racist, anti-government views and boasted about their gun collection, according to the Las Vegas Sun. The newspaper reported that residents of the apartment complex who spoke about the suspects also brought up the couples relationship with Bundy Ranch, where the two bragged about being present for the standoff between militia members and the Bureau of Land Management.

EDITING TO ADD CLARITY
The couple then reportedly covered the officers bodies with a cloth showing a Revolutionary War-era flag.
The newspaper reported it was the Gadsden flag, a yellow background with a coiled snake above the words, Dont tread on me. Named for Christopher Gadsden, the Revolutionary War general who designed it, the flag has been more recently associated with the American Tea Party movement and, by some, with the Confederacy.

(15,429 posts)To suggest that two cops who had been murdered should have a "blanket of shit and piss" draped on them puts you on the same level as the murderers who draped their bodies in the Gadsen flag.

(7,512 posts)Again I didn't see anything that suggested cops were draped in Gadsen Flags. I assumed they were speaking of the shooters.

(7,512 posts)1. I had just woken up and I'm not all there yet.
2. Had never heard this news before.
3. It sounds like something these nuts (the shooters) would do for each other.

(36,286 posts)The tragedy in Las Vegas unfolded Sunday afternoon as two police officers ate lunch at CiCis Pizza a world away from the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas strip.
Without warning, they were fatally shot at point-blank range by a man and a woman who then swiped the officers weapons, ammunition and badges, according to the Review-Journal. This is a revolution, one of the suspects shouted, according to witnesses.

(16,286 posts)Since our Black president and his Black AG are not allowed to react to white supremacist terrorists aka teaparty the same way they must react to any other terrorists, this will be hard to deal with over time.
As i have said now for years, teaparty exists SOLELY to oppose Black prez because of skin color, if I say anymore I will be targeted by them and my life and my wife's life will be in jeopardy, in fact I am so outspoken about this that we already are in danger.

(6,891 posts)terrorism goes back at least as far as the KKK and is becoming common again. It really is time for law enforcement to take these people down. And if they choose to fight, better now than later.

(1,843 posts)That even having a gun in a deadly situation does NOT prevent killings?
Here were 2 cops, trained, with weapons that could not prevent their own deaths.
How does having more guns prevent situations like this?
So if 2 trained officers could not protect themselves then how does an untrained person with a gun matter?

(50,983 posts)The gun manufacturers sold at least 4 guns. And this incident should generate fear which should account for additional sales.

(28,270 posts)Figured they were teabaggers. So Occupy peaceful unarmed protesters get maced, clubbed, shot and beaten up by the police.
These reich wing gun humpin nazi freaks at Bundy's don't get a finger laid on them so now they must think its open season on the law and who ever happens to be in front of their assault weapons sight at the time.
Gee I wonder how many cops vote republican and are faithful followers of hate radio?
I'm sure abcnbccbscnn etc with get right on this story about murderous republican teabaggers right away!
This is the right-wing gun lobby's definition of a "well regulated militia" where extremists and radicals are allowed to walk around armed 24/7.
