I was - and that's why I didn't register here until 2007!

Wait until the primaries - hang in there. The difference between wanting and getting is sometimes an ocean.

Watch how we gather around the candidate come the 2016 election. Doesn't matter who - and that is still a wide open field. Because see - if Joe Biden runs I'm supporting him.

Nothing to indicate if he WILL run - but that's my guy in 2016.

If you don't want Hillary to be President, you probably should have gotten busy back in 2012 trying to build up some other alternative candidate.

Getting all worked up about Hillary being the front runner now, is a little late.

I refuse to continue to be part if something I do not support

Those who support an oligarchy will vote for and support Hillary and continue Being a part of the Democratic Party those of us who who do not support the oligarchs will vote for someone else and some will leave the party in protest too

But it does not matter our votes and money are not needed that has been made abundantly clear by many posters already.

25. Please remember, Democratic Underground is not
Tue Jun 10, 2014, 12:59 PM
Jun 2014

just for members of the Democratic Party - nor was it ever intended to be.

Democratic Underground is an online community for politically liberal people who understand the importance of working within the system to elect more Democrats and fewer Republicans to all levels of political office.

Point in fact, the poster who probably prompted this OP (Moon River's Kreskin-like pronouncement that Hillary will win the primary and the election) clarified that they are an Independent.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10025074702#post21

As far as supporting Democrats, the rule that the Owners of this website have decided is correct reads:

Winning elections is important — therefore, advocating in favor of Republican nominees or in favor of third-party spoiler candidates that could split the vote and throw an election to our conservative opponents is never permitted on Democratic Underground. But that does not mean that DU members are required to always be completely supportive of Democrats. During the ups-and-downs of politics and policy-making, it is perfectly normal to have mixed feelings about the Democratic officials we worked hard to help elect. When we are not in the heat of election season, members are permitted to post strong criticism or disappointment with our Democratic elected officials, or to express ambivalence about voting for them. In Democratic primaries, members may support whomever they choose. But when general election season begins, DU members must support Democratic nominees (EXCEPT in rare cases where were a non-Democrat is most likely to defeat the conservative alternative, or where there is no possibility of splitting the liberal vote and inadvertently throwing the election to the conservative alternative). For presidential contests, election season begins when both major-party nominees become clear. For non-presidential contests, election season begins on Labor Day.

Emphasis is mine - but please note the bolded sections.

I realize that as the election season approaches, the desire to purge all but approved commentary will increase - but this is 2014, not 2015 or even close to 2016. Neither party has selected its candidate nor even held its primary.

You're jumping the gun on forcing the straight and narrow.

I am a hard-core Truman-Era Dem, and as such I almost NEVER get my way in politics. But I don't run away, gnashing my teeth in despair: no, I channel my frustration into activism.

A few Clintonites cannot really drive you away: you are choosing to take yourself away. Admit it, own it.

too fucking bad, quit whining, it's Hillary. It kind of makes one feel like ones vote doesn't count even with dems, even here.

It does tend to piss one off.

I doubt there will be many who won't vote dem, no matter who is the winner. It's just don't fucking even act like there is something democratic goin on, then tell us too fucking bad, quit whining, Hillary wins, no matter what you think.

It's pretty fucking insulting coming from non republicans.

were my choices in 08 but I wound up voting for Hill in my primary because my #1 choice had dropped out by then and vote for Obama in the GE. I will vote for the dem nominee in 16. I am a democrat, I have never voted gop in a state or national election and as the gop devolves, the chance of that happening before I die grows less likely.I will draw the line at voting for Jim Webb though.
