I am completely against the death penalty, but by golly I want to see MUCH harsher penalties
levied against ALL involved in the ivory trade.
By ALL I mean every last person from the poacher to the end consumer.
How about mandatory tooth extraction (with no anesthesia) to balance the amount of ivory involved?
(Obviously limited by the amount of teeth a human has).
Every last person involved in ivory trade whether "legal" or not has Satao's blood on their hands.
Congrats, a-holes! What are you going to do when the last elephant has been shot? Start raiding zoos?
I sincerely hope that the concept of the Buddhist hell for those who are cruel to animals is true.
