Hopefully Altidore getting hurt won't be a major thing. I have to admit, I'm pretty into the World Cup this time.

this is the first world cup I've really gotten into.

USA looks competitive.

On edit:

They dont just look competitive...they look combatant...they are playing with a chip on their shoulder and that is a good thing.....they look like they are ready to play

The US are having a hard time holding on to possession. Ghana look pretty well-organised and are passing it around pretty well. They're just awful in the final third.

Anything can happen in the second half.

I've been biting my nails ever since. My favorite goal margin is to be up by 3 - one is never enough, 2 is OK, and more than 4 stops being fun.

These early injuries are scary.

If you find soccer boring, get to know your brothers and sisters of the WORLD! Chances are they will make the game more interesting.

Being in So. Cally I watch the game in Espanol and listen at work with the Latinos.

I've been working at improving my Spanish language skills and this helps!

Estados Unidos! Numero Uno! Viva!!!

Hang in there, it's almost football season.

It's constant action, constant movement -- opening the defense, looking for the weak spots, drawing people one way so you can break the other; it's fantastic!! I didn't start watching much until '94, but I was immediately hooked for life.

They know as much about football as I do about making wicker baskets. In short, nothing at all. But they need to make it sound interesting.
