She suffered a stroke on top of already being in ICU for other critical problems. It doesn't look good.
If you love God, please pray for them both. Otherwise, your positive vibes will surely help ease the transition, no matter the direction it takes.
I usually like to stay and participate in my OPs, but I hope you understand.
She's ready to go now. Thank you all in advance.

(5,756 posts)One of the things the nurses and therapists told us when my dad was in hospice is that it is important to tell your loved one it is okay to go. That you love them, you'll always remember them and you'll be okay even after they are gone.

(5,756 posts)However, my advice still applies to dealing with a loved one in the last part of their life. I have that experience and wish to share it with others to help them deal with these difficult times.

(31,849 posts)My Mom has suffered two strokes (and an unknown number of "mini-strokes"
over the past 5 years. I spent last week celebrating her 90th Birthday.
I guess that's to say ... what doesn't look good to us, there are times when the Universe has a different vision.

(258,813 posts)I lost my mother in 2011. She fell down the stairs in the dark when Hurricane Irene caused the power to go out. She was rushed to a medical center over an hour away and I drove there to see her every day for three weeks. My thoughts and prayers are with all three of you.

(9,463 posts)My beloved's mother passed away just after 10am this morning. She was in no pain and passed peacefully.
It's been a long couple of days and nights. Just know that I appreciate each and every word every one of you took the time think about and write and the positive energy you sent through the universe to help ease her transition to the other side.
Peace and love to you all.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
