I thought 'spoilers' occurred with time-delayed events, not things people watched in real time. If you watch a sporting event and post the score AFTER the end of the game, that doesn't seem like a 'spoiler' to me. You get 'spoilers' during the Olympics, when they're halfway round the world and time-delay broadcast for many hours.

Maybe the alerter wanted the thrill of being informed of the outcome on the nightly news coverage rather than on-line? Or, maybe they were recording the game and walked around all day actively avoiding any discussion of, or person that might have watched, the match.

Seems kind of silly to me.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
