Bill Maher To Hillary Clinton: 'Just Go Away'

HBO's “Real Time” host Bill Maher offered some advice to Hillary Clinton on Friday: Take a hiatus from the public stage before you blow another run for president.

The former secretary of state was forced to walk back comments earlier this month in which she said she and her husband, Bill, were "dead broke" after leaving the White House. Clinton later conceded that she could have been more "artful" in her characterization of the couple's finances.

Maher pointed to the remark as evidence that Clinton was threatening her yet-unannounced run for president with needless self-imposed errors.

"People say Hillary being out there on her book tour talking about this stuff, it's going to inoculate her," the comedian said. "You know there's a fine line between inoculate and we're sick of you. So my advice to Hillary is, just go away. Go away for a while. We're going to see each other. In a couple of years, a lot. Just go away. Because otherwise you're going to blow this."

.

She should be helping the 99% find a progressive and brilliant candidate to run in 2016.

But I'm afraid it's not in her DNA.

to not put any former lobbyists or executives of companies like Monsanto, Walmart, Verizon, or financial institutions in government positions and that she NOT support going to war or sending troops unless the American people vote to do so, and she not sign any trade agreements like NAFTA, and that she not ... . If she does do any of these things, she has to resign and her VP (Elizabeth warren or Sanders) becomes president. Hillary and Bill are corporatists and we do not need either one of them back in the White House again unless they promise under threat of having to resign to be real, FDR Democrats.

Sen Sanders or Warren. I think seeing her trying to debate either Sen Sanders or Warren will motivate the left.

Remember, if you dont want Jeb in 2016, dont nominate H. Clinton/Goldman-Sachs.

for the Oligarchs (Goldman-Sach-O-Money).

I think it will be harder than you imagine. When the voters see Oligarch Thing 1 vs. Oligarch Thing 2, a lot will simply stay home.

I am not saying they are the same (the mistake Nader made) I am saying they both support the 0.01%.

Is that ok with you? The hell with the lower classes! Long live the Oligarchy and Goldman-Sachs.

but let's not let the facts get in the way of this over sexist's smearing of a female candidate. Funny he never has told Ann Coulter to just go away.

I am, fancy this, concerned with the 2014 elections. If we lose the Senate, we can kiss the next two years goodbye. As to my characterization of Mr. Maher, I stand by it. He is a sexist, plain and simple.

CAFE = Corporate Average Fuel Economy standards.

MPG was flat from Bush 1, through Clinton, through Bush 2.

Obama finally pushed for better mileage.

The more that her face is in the news, the more chance for Hillary Fatigue there is. Just coast into the nomination. Don't screw this up with People magazine interviews or by guest hosting SNL anytime in the next year or so.

Most democrats will vote for her.....unless they're sick of her. (I'll vote for whomever gets the nom anyway)

populace or not. I think the Sen Warren/Sander's populace movement has her nervous. But I think Bill is pointing out that she is terrible at connecting with the common people and since she is the clear front runner, should just back off, keep a low profile until closer to the election.
