Question to you guys..?? A Pastor in my town unexpectedly ran into a demonstration

@ a new Hobby Lobby near where I live.. He was interviewed and seem annoyed, used the word liberals and “ they should get a life.. I googled his church left him a phone message and my wife wrote him an email.. Both very respectful.. Explaining the diff. between contraception and the fact that the term Liberal would be a concept that Jesus would probably have embraced..

Wanted to know if I should give out his contact info.

Story was reported only in a local paper...

He is not a public figure, just someone at the wrong place that time. You have made your feelings known to him. That is enough, IMO.

If you still want to speak out, you could write a letter to the editor of that paper. It might create some more interest or awareness.

Any further targeting of this individual could be construed as harassment.

I strongly disagree with him and find it funny that his response is "they should get a life" when he and his church probably do all kinds of protesting and activism. HOWEVER, he has as much right to his opinion as we do and your respectful expression of your own opinion to him (and you are likely NOT going to change his mind, believe me) is probably enough. Because people disagree with us doesn't mean they should be harassed in any way. We get angry here when people appear to "harass" us for our own opinions and beliefs, let's be respectful ourselves regarding that.

Not only did he willingly give his name to the media, he mentioned that he is a pastor and thus attempted to assert that he is an authority on morality and spirituality.

He absolutely deserves to get a response from anyone who disagrees with him.

I very much doubt that getting a bunch of emails and phone messages, some of which would likely be quite hateful, will change his mind. Besides, I think that posting the contact info might be against the TOS.

Or just his name really.

Unless it is Joe Smith names tend to be unique.

and setting him up for hate mail. If his name is out there, that's tough but don't add fuel.

Nobody knows anything about him except this one remark and he may not even be the bad guy he's portrayed as. What if he and his church run a homeless shelter or food bank? How would you feel then?

Just a feeling I get. I sense he uses church as a " shield" verses practices what he preaches. His distain for liberals was my clue.

Going after people isn't cool.
Not when you do it, not when people opposed to you do it.
