There was no point to it, anyway--the guy was most likely mentally ill when he walked off, was previously found unfit for service, and it was the ARMY everyone should have been mad at--I mean, would you blame somebody with epilepsy who is sent into combat and is captured while having a seizure on the battlefield? Of course not. The psycho losers in his unit who, unconscionably, named names of men who died supposedly looking for Bergdahl (thus ripping open wounds of the families of the fallen) have tried to profit from being in the same platoon, but their fifteen minutes seem to be fading as well.

9. I will tell you exactly what happened...

...they managed to tarnish another Obama Administration success. If anyone says "Oh yes, they brought the last soldier home", then someone else can respond "You mean the deserter?" "nyah nyah nyah" -- basically that's what all the sturm und drang was about. AND it has succeeded nicely.

They don't need it to go on forever, just long enough to tarnish anything done by our President. It's why they are so loud, and so in unison on this stuff. It's a TACTIC and it's a damned effective one, too. They use it on EVERYTHING he or his administration does, ESPECIALLY positive things, in order to immediately stave off any possible bragging that might be done.

And of course, if anything is open to any slight criticism, then they unload with both barrels for months or even years.

Make no mistake: this is NOT just the rabid right being crazy. They know exactly what they are doing. Same reason they impeached Clinton: so they could tarnish his record, and always be able to say that he was impeached. We all shook our heads at the so-called "issue" they hung it on, but we were missing the point. They don't need good reasons. They know what they're doing. It's working really, really well for them.
