North Korean officials say the clip "seriously compromises Kim's dignity and authority," South Korea's Chosun Ilbun newspaper reports. Naturally, China has been unable to help because once something is online, it's online forever. And Kim doesn't seem to know Rule 19 of the Internet: The more you hate it, the stronger it gets.
This is not the only video that has Pyongyang going ballistic. The nation recently threatened a "resolute and merciless response" over the upcoming Seth Rogan/James Franco film, "The Interview."

(4,473 posts)Which is that an attempt to hide or remove something often has the unintended consequence of publicizing it. It comes from attempts by Barbara Streisand to suppress a photograph of her house in Malibu from a collection of over 10 thousand photos of the California coast, culminating in a lawsuit against the photographer, Kenneth Adelman.
According to this Wikipedia article, "Image 3850" had been downloaded from Adelman's website only six times; two of those downloads were by Streisand's attorneys. As a result of the case, public knowledge of the picture increased substantially; more than 420,000 people visited the site over the following month.

(50,555 posts)someone needs to scrounge up a mobile television transmitter, a directional antenna and about a million-watt amplifier, park all of the above at Panmunjom, and blast "Team America: World Police," translated into Korean, into the DPRK 24/7 on every channel until they give up.
How many years would you get for strolling down the main drag in Pyongyang singing "America, Fuck Yeah!"?
