Our mission is to create:
A profitable, principled global entertainment company.
To celebrate the diversity and brotherhood of world culture.
To promote racial and spiritual harmony through love, peace, truth, righteousness and non-violence.
Their decision to invite Ted Nugent into their venues violates most of the core principles in their own mission statement.
They've heard from me and maybe they'll hear from you as well.

(4,232 posts)Please rescind this invitation. Providing Ted Nugent with a venue provides him with a soapbox, and I hate to think that the House of Blues would tolerate the violent racist opinions of such a man.
Thank you.

(13,859 posts)There were more protesters than attendees in the theater. And most of Nugent's fans appear to have family trees without branches.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
