Companies don't want more jobs. Provided they could run the business at the same profitability level they would be glad to get rid of jobs. Creating jobs is not their business.

Aside from the well known insidiousness of it all, what drives me up the wall the most is how many of my working class peers accept this shit as a law of physics, even as they are negatively affected by the same dynamic.

Just tell them the PTB respects their god and that their guns are sacrosanct and they'll gladly become serfs.
