Eating Disorders Support Group: we don't have one and it's needed

At least I think so. I don't have an eating disorder (besides needing to lose 20 pounds lol), but I know other DU'ers do.

Eating Disorders Support Group would include the following: Anorexia nervosa, Bulimia nervosa, Binge eating disorder, Compulsive overeating, and anything else related. See this article.

ETA: The group needs a Statement of Purpose (SOP). Please see fizzgig's post for her ideas and post yours, please. I'm just helping the group get started, I don't need to be a host.

17. Seems like a needed group, and the suggested SOP looks good.

I don't have any of these issues, and to my knowledge don't know anyone who does, but I do realize there are eating problems that folks need a lot of support for. I hope you can get the group started.

I've been anorexic for years!!! Lately, I haven't eaten since Sunday.

It's a serious problem for a lot of people.

26. UPDATE

Elad has the SOP now. Of course, once the group goes live, all of you are free to choose your own host(s) and choose your own SOP again if you wish. Hopefully it will go live in the next few days.
