...of Gaza, and their broader treatment of Palestinians in general, I don't see that the OP presents a strong analogy.

Israel isn't a global threat like the Nazis were. To the extent they are trying to expand territory, that expansionism, compared to what WWII-era Germany was attempting, is small and local, not like trying to build an expanded empire.

Germany's ambitions were a much more direct threat to the US than anything Israel is doing now. We only jumped into WWII when our own interests were directly attacked, not as a humanitarian effort to save the Jews.
