Alright Texas here we go again

What is it with Texas? WHILE WATCHING THIS LATEST fiasco in the house I saw a disproportionate number of house members from Texas whining about the presidents policies and poor kids. Isn't Texas the state where they care about kids only until they are born.Your Governor is an asshole ,your previous Governor was a bigger asshole(Bush) your congressmen with the exception of a few are the nuttiest members of congress not including Bachman and King.

What is in the water? Maybe we should give you back to Mexico.

It's not the Texans who were born here, it's the friggin carpetbagger Yankees who brought their shit down here. I heard all the time when I was working in Ft. Worth, " That's not how we did it in Minnysnowta (or wherever). I'm glad I've retired and left up there. They complained about the traffic, the weather, the taxes and everything else and then voted for Bush.

that I enjoy living in a state with a reasonable cost of living. Housing is not crazy here and my $$$ stays in my family while not going to the Wells Fargo of the worlds. I've lived all around the country - Is there work to do? Yes..but all things considered Texas is the best.

And if these idiots elect Abbott...they will see an even bigger asshole! It's a red state...like all the other red states...we need to change it back to blue. We had a badass governor at one time - Ann Richards. We can have another badass governor in Wendy Davis!

another thread to bash Texas and SC. Because surely without those 2 states America would be on track.

How much more insulting can you be to DU'ers who live in those state tirelessly working to get Dems elected. Way to go!!

Down here in Texas, neonatal care for healthy infants delivered normally costs Medicaid $2,500 while preemies cost it around $45,000 and up for stays in NICU. The Republican-run Texas legislature tried to cut high risk preemie funding for Medicaid in 2011, but were forced to back pedal due to negative national attention. Yep, our governor and our lege love the little children. Until it hits them in the pocketbook.
