Silence from the NY Times

Has anybody noticed the Times' loud silence on President Obama's press conference on Friday? Only a short blurb was printed, which mainly discussed the CIA's spying on Congress, no real discussion about his statements calling those who tortured (or approved torture) "real patriots" (among other statements like we shouldn't be too sanctimonious). No analysis, editorial or other article has been published. What gives, oh "paper of record"?

which is fast making these anachronistic media outlets obsolete. They no longer decide what the people should know.

I also searched out more and my local newspaper covered Pres. Obama's comments as if they were never uttered. I guess the editor felt the comments might upset their small- and always getting smaller- readership.
