Are the people who make up the DU juries the same people who would tattletale on you for talking when the teacher was out of the room?
People at this site need to take medicines to thicken their skins.

but I still dont know why or what I said that was so bad

(146,218 posts)What part are you not getting?
BTW, suggesting that other members need to take medication in order to accommodate your violation of the community standards might be a clue as to why you get banned.

cbayer
(146,218 posts)Well, it does appear to be unharmonious.
If a jury gets you once, you should probably pay attention. If it gets you over and over, then you should really pay attention.
OR, you could just blame it on the jury and say that they need to take medication in order to tolerate you.

(16,286 posts)deciding when something has to be hidden
That person should default to not hiding unless the material is so extreme the site is in danger of being closed down...
Now if we are to keep righty out of here for sanity sake, that is a different problem...and yes I say keep the idiots out of here.
I've managed to never have a post hidden. It's actually quite easy.
But please, come to DU and tell us all how we should behave

(68,341 posts)and when an alert is ridiculous, I say so as I vote to leave the post alone.
But occasionally a post truly is a violation of the TOS or a nasty personal attack, and those are the ones I vote to hide.
I am probably more lenient than some jurors, because I don't like to see vigorous debate stifled, but some posts really are OTT. BTW, I do sometimes see real examples of alert stalking, and when I do, I also mention that in my explanation of why I vote to leave a post alone.

(29,047 posts)just try very hard to avoid posting personal attacks, right-wing rhetoric, extremely violent rhetoric (unless it's pro-war rhetoric -- grand scale extreme violence is totally cool), and pornography.

Or the half-wits and the vulgar could learn civilized behavior and some manners... six of one, half a dozen if the other.
However, I completely understand the need for the half-witted to point fingers when called on his behavior-- as I did the same thing when I was in third grade.
Thicken skins was sarcasm how could you not get that.
