Our backyard.
Thursday there were seven eggs in a nest across the lake.

Mom was still on the nest with Dad watching over

We found the nest empty on Saturday

We were surprised to see all seven eggs survive to become these cute little guys.

I think with geese stick Dad sticks around and shares parenting, giving the little ones a better shot.

We have the had same group of geese return every spring and have even seen grandparents share in family raising.
