The citizens killed four police officers, and troops were called to minimize the rebellion.
According to reports, it began when the police were seen beating a woman in public. Crowds formed and demanded that the officers stop beating her. But the officers continued.
A man who tried to film the incident was struck repeatedly by officers, so much that he began vomiting blood. According to reports, the man died on the way to the hospital.
In response, tens of thousands of Chinese citizens surrounded the officers and began attacking them with rocks and baseball bats, chanting Kill them! Kill them for what we just saw them do!

(9,154 posts)I never really thought about the sacred masculine as violent. It would be consistent with defending the sacred feminine. I don't think this was the best way for those cops to go, even though they were beating a woman. Maybe the cops in China are the same as they are in Ferguson, I don't know. But those particular cops certainly won't beat another woman ever again. I imagine that some will think of this as mass violence, that's why their government brought out the troops. As far as psyop, it seems like this is exactly the kind of thing police everywhere would want to avoid, but some of them become fearful and dominant in their own defense in future moments, and full of fear and hate.
I hope those cops RIP. It's sad.
