Been catching up on Pew polls. Here's one on Occupy that had an interesting tidbit:
Notably, among Democrats and Democratic leaning independents, those with incomes of $75,000 or more are substantially more supportive more of Occupy Wall Street than those with incomes of less than $30,000 (71% vs. 56%).
Among Republicans and Republican leaning independents the pattern is reversed: Those with incomes of $75,000 and higher oppose the movement by nearly five-to-one (72% oppose, 15% support), views among Republicans with incomes of less than $30,000 are more divided (41% oppose, 30% support).

I'm still thinking about what conclusion to draw from this. Thoughts?

I expect the "old money" is largely GOP, although at those levels most income is from investments rather than a paycheck anyhow.

It's what they are, it underlies every social and economic position they hold.
They invented the word "objectivism" because "selfishism" made them sound like dumbasses.

[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]Liberals who have "made it" are sympathetic and want to give a hand up to those who are still struggling.
Conservatives either inherited theirs or stepped on others to get it and want to pull up the ladder after them.
