What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore–
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over–
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?

8. We should be burying my generation

not my grandchildren's. What is our country going to become when we so casually kill large numbers of young AA men? Wives with no mates, children with no security or role models. It is not a dream deferred, it is thousands of dreams destroyed, not in just one generation but also the ones that follow. It has to end, but how is beyond me.

Sorry to rant on your thread, sheshe2. I am so depressed for our future.
