Looks like Bo got to go to Pet Smart
And the official Christmas Card (which of course the RW has taken offense to, given it included only Bo)

The 2011 White House Christmas card features a content looking First Pup Bo Obama sitting by a roaring fireplace, flanked by Christmas presents and festive Christmasy ribbons and pine wreaths and bulbs. If you listen hard, you can almost hear sleigh bells.
It's all pretty non-controversial. Boring, even. Unless, of course, you're Fox News.
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin told Fox News & Commentary that she found the card to be a bit unusual.
Its odd, she said, wondering why the presidents Christmas card highlights his dog instead of traditions like family, faith and freedom.
Even stranger than that was his first year in office when the Christmas ornaments included Chairman Mao, Palin said. People had to ask that it be removed because it was offensive. (Find more of this crap at Faux News.... I'm not going to link, though http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/ has a rundown).
I love that Bo is the star~!

(6,721 posts)I believe people need to be reminded of that shitter Mitt and what he did to his dog; you know people love their animals and anyone who is seen to abuse them pay the price.
This needs to be brought up all the time

(62,325 posts)They are almost exactly the same age also. So he looked a lot more like our dog when he was a smaller puppy.
Pretty picture by the fireplace, it looks like an old-fashioned Christmas card.

(21,492 posts)What a bunch of nasty ignoramuses. A number have posted that it's wrong to take Bo shopping.
They've never been in a Pet Smart, apparently.
Now I need a shower from visiting that vicious site.

(3,626 posts)Faux and Sarah are, anyway, but it's SOP. Quoting the Washington Post on the matter:
.....most presidential cards have followed a similar formula. For the most part, its the White House itself, either the exterior or interior, said Jennifer Pickens, author of Christmas at the White House. Occupants of the mansion rarely make the scene. FDR, the first president to send out Christmas cards, appeared in a few of his, and Bill and Hillary Clinton posed for their 1993 card after a commissioned painting ended up looking too much like a previous card. Otherwise, the cards present beautifully vacated White Houses, except for the occasional pet romping through a snow-dappled lawn or festive room. ...
Nothing about this president goes uncriticized. If his family were pictured, they'd call him arrogant...or worse.

(27,776 posts)Something Sarah Palin probably can't understand since her life seems devoted to using and abusing people with false affection...

(15,189 posts)Just a nice card with 3 pictures on it. Two of the whole family, and one of Bo. And an ornament of Chairman Mao. LOL! It was labeled Top Secret. So don't tell anyone!
