2. I just watched video on Atlanta news of a car chase...

An AT&T service truck had been stolen. Police deployed a dozen police cars to get in front and around him until they eventually forced him to stop.

The "perp" driving the stolen AT&T truck was forced out of the cab. He was African American. About four African American cops plus one white cop managed to subdue him and arrest him. Yes, at first all had guns drawn. I don't know if anyone fired any shots.

I was pleased to see that a majority of the cops were nonwhite in this majority nonwhite city. It makes sense. No one group gets to have a feeling of empowerment over any other group. Relations in the police force must stay respectful as well.

I don't know of any bad racial or corruption issues with Atlanta PD. Please enlighten me if there are.

Getting rid of most of the guns would certainly help. I think that's why police are mostly not armed lethally in Great Britain -- it's primarily unnecessary.
