I think the record for cops sitting on an empty house was 11 hours?

But..they been known to surround a house, toss in 'smoke grenades" after which there was a fire which burned down the place.

( watched that happen a block from my house on Whidbey Island back in the '80's....luckily, they had our fire dept. standing by...what a co-incidence)

(and assistant U.S. Marhsall,) and used to 'execute' warrants in the domestic abuse branch. While I've never asked specifically how they do this, I'm virtually certain it looks nothing like this, based on a few discussions we've had.
