Climate change boosts then quickly stunts plants, decade-long study shows

The findings, published this week in the journal Nature Climate Change, show that plants may thrive in the early stages of a warming environment but then begin to deteriorate quickly.

It's a good thing global warming is just a liberal hoax. If it were real, we'd really be in trouble.

I ran across some photos from the 1970s of flowerbeds my husband and I planted in a contest against each other to see which one could produce the prettiest beds. I nearly fell over when I saw the difference between then and now, even though I have struggled to enhance the soil, fertilize and till the soil more to get the same results.

For one, our springs are earlier followed by a cold spell (it was 27 degrees early this morning), and the last 2-3 springs have been rainy to the point we couldn't plant the flowers.

I finally decided the seed companies must have "improved" the seeds in some way that changed their growth habits. Maybe I've been experiencing these problems because of the change in climate and nothing else. Crazy!

There was climate change before the Industrial Revolution, of course, but it's so much faster and more severe now.

that the plan was to make the US the breadbasket of the world. I didn't quite get it then, but I take it that even at that time, the wealthy elite planned to gut our industrial core.

The labor shortages and escalating demands of the 50's, followed by JFK's insurmountable popularity and unwillingness to do as he was told, was the catalyst. They brought Nixon back specifically because he was always the good soldier.

"Only Nixon could go to China". How many times have we heard this quotation? How many times have you asked, "Why did Nixon go to China"? Who went with him and immediately began setting up shop?

Do you think that "America" could dismantle and ship its entire industrial base on the spur of the moment, let alone set up a web of laws that made the American taxpayer pay for it? Do you think only one, weak political party did this?
