I did not comment in them, but I read them all. He presented events in a clear calm way. I have been feeling like I wanted to post this link for it to be remembered. It reminds me of the great folks who are no longer here but who left a legacy of research and passion. That is what this forum is about after all.

I hope he and others who left by choice will decide to come back someday soon. I know many who did not leave by choice who should be able to come back someday and contribute.

I was following the events on several sites but big tree had the best links and commentary. I'm going to miss big. I know I new here but several posters have already made me look for their posts everyday. Bigs ferguson posts were compelling.

go the way of all the others, two weeks of saturation coverage, then relegated to the dustbin.

I am sorry he left, but I fully understand why. Hopefully he is writing somewhere where the real issues of our time are of more importance than they appear to be here lately.

I kind of come and go on DU. Just like other sites. So I am not familiar with too many posters..

Bigtree was always insightful and kind in his comments, just like he was to me on this Ferguson post of his.

Bigtree is one of only two I looked for and recognized. The other is 20score. He's still here but just doesn't post like he used to.

That's not to say there aren't other incredible writers on DU. Not by any stretch. But with the attention to details, facts and attention to everything about a story, they're in a class all their own.
