We are in the you are in the era of "you should be grateful to have a job and a pay check". If you lose wages to employer theft that's just the cost of doing business get over it.
Workers today have little value in the US. We have caught up with third world nations because more and more employers operate here just like they do in places like Africa. People forget about the age old "wage spiral" complaint back in the 1960's. That was about the wage spiral upward. We have been on a "wage spiral" downwards since Reagan and it will only continue.
And if you want to really accelerate the wage spiral and wage theft just vote Republican. The deregulation meme is about abolishing labor laws and enforcement in this country.
Having worked at DOL for 24 years I watched Reagan, the GOP and its allies eliminate the labor law cops for the most part.

(13,218 posts)look at the monthly spread sheet for profit and see a column of income (looks good) and a column for credits which include a large amount for salaries. They shake their head in grief conveniently forgetting without those entries there would be zero in the first column.

(10,602 posts)Present wage laws are too much for present employers and GOP. Wage theft should be legal as far as GOPPERS are concerned. Take something from an employer and its JAIL TIME!
