(16,038 posts)But speaking of beer...on a recent visit to New England I got started drinking Yuengling beer. It isn't available in my state. Is it just another commercial beer...like coors or budweiser? It seemed cleaner than those beers to me...a little more like small brewery beer.

(23,156 posts)They are a family owned brewery that does not distribute nationally, although they make lots and lots of beer. I've never tried it, but next time I get to that part of the country I'll try to.
I just got back from a week in Portland and it was not enough time to sample all the beers and wines they make there. I'll need to return.

(25,183 posts)Yuengling is 'meh'. Yes, my buddy and I finished a couple of pitchers of it yesterday, but our only other choices at the town festival's beer garden were Bud Light and Michelob Ultra. So, we went with something that can at least be called a craft brew.
Right now, I'm drinking a New Glarus Thumbprint Series Double IPA called Scream, and yes, it's darned good. We had quite the Midwest beer tour, bringing some good stuff back to share with my beer buddies in NY and NJ.
